
Career and Experience
Lorraine Warren, PhD aka Dr. Rain is a facilitator, educator, and trainer in peace-building, dialogue, and conflict mediation. Her career spans over 20 years and has taken her around the world to over 100 countries and includes the continents of Africa, Asia, North America, South America, and Europe. She was recognized in 2016 by Legacy International and the Global Youth Village for having provided direct impact and training to over 34,000 youth world-wide. Dr. Rain has 10 years experience as an administrator in higher education. She has provided leadership at institutions such as Washington University in St. Louis, Florida State University, The Johns Hopkins University, and The Juilliard School. Dr. Rain completed her doctoral degree in 2017 and conducted research in Rwanda, Central Africa interviewing survivors of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi. This research inspired her to create a project, “Creating A World That Listens”, in which she takes two red chairs to public places and listens to whatever people want to and need to say.
Current Projects and Education
Dr. Warren is an inspirational speaker and is currently working on several book projects including a memoir inspired by her life work, poetry, and a tribute to a South African Freedom Fighter who was a college friend. She obtained her doctorate from Pacifica Graduate Institute, Santa Barbara, CA in Depth Psychology with an emphasis in Community Psychology, Liberation Psychology, and Ecopsychology. She also holds Master’s degrees in Higher Education Administration and Spiritual Psychology from Indiana University in PA and the University of Santa Monica in California respectfully.
